FAQ

What is the MIF++ pricing model?

MIF++ is a transparent pricing model for card payment fees. The total fee consists of three parts: the interchange fee, the card scheme fee, and the transaction processing fee. Each part is clearly defined, so you always know exactly what makes up the total cost.

What are the fees for card transactions?

Card payment fees are based on the transparent MIF++ pricing model and consist of three parts:
• Interchange fee – a fee paid between banks for processing card payments. In the EU, this fee is capped at 0.2% for debit cards and 0.3% for credit cards.
• Card scheme fee – a fee charged by card networks such as Visa or Mastercard.
• Transaction processing fee – a fee for processing payments through the 24pay payment gateway.

Pricing may vary depending on the card type, country of issue, or payment volume in your online store. The MIF++ model ensures transparent pricing with clearly defined fees.

What is the card scheme fee?

This is a fee paid to card networks such as Visa or Mastercard. It covers the operation of the card network, transaction processing and security systems used for card payments.

What is the transaction processing fee?

This is the fee for the technical processing of payments through the payment gateway. It includes transaction processing, security features, communication with banks, and access to the admin portal where you can manage and track all payments.

Is there a setup fee for the payment gateway?

No. Account setup and service activation are free of charge. Once the payment gateway is live, you only pay fees related to actual transactions or any additional services according to the pricing plan.
