FAQ

How do POS terminal fees work?

POS terminal fees have two parts. The first is a monthly terminal fee. The second is a fee for each card payment processed.
Card payment fees are not one fixed rate. Each transaction has its own fee, which may depend on factors such as the type of card used (debit, credit or business card) or the customer’s bank.

What is MIF++?

MIF++ is a pricing model used to calculate card payment fees. It is not a single fixed rate.
Each payment has real underlying costs, which are combined to create the final fee. This means you can clearly see what you are paying for. The model is transparent and has no hidden fees.

What makes up the card payment fee (MIF++)?

The fee for each card payment consists of three parts:
• Interchange fee – paid to the bank that issued the card
• Card scheme fee – paid to card networks such as Visa or Mastercard
• Processing fee – charged for processing the payment

These three components together make up the total fee for each payment transaction. The scheme fee is charged by the card network for processing the payment.

How is the payment processing fee determined?

The processing fee is set individually. It is usually charged as a percentage of the payment amount plus a small fixed fee.
The exact rate may depend on factors such as your monthly turnover or the average value of each transaction.

Why do fees vary between different payments?

Fees depend on the type of card used. Standard debit cards usually have lower fees than credit or business cards.
Fees may also vary for cards issued abroad. This is why the final cost can differ slightly from one transaction to another.
